I am a writer of fiction based in Brooklyn, New York. I write fiction, short stories, and prose.
Currently, I am working on two novels ‘The Angel of Bethesda’ and ‘The Birth of Ego.’
I am also working on a series of prose portraits.

I was an editor and co-founder of Szirine Magazine (2004-2005).
I was a columnist at Sargasso blog, which cooperates with other media like Dutch public broadcaster VPRO.
I published several scientific articles in the field of bioinformatics.

I released two musical albums with Blockbuster Noise, a noise band from Amsterdam.

I was born and raised in the Netherlands. Since ten years, I live in New York. Intermittently, I lived in London, Moscow, Berlin and Ikaria, Greece. At the moment, I am employed as a Developer Evangelist for Hewlett-Packard Big Data.

My ideas are influenced by nihilism; surrealism; Greek and Roman classicism; humanism (especially psycho-analysis, Marxism and science); and American optimism. I am inspired by Henry Miller, Billy Childish, Fernando Pessoa, Marguerite Duras, Nikos Kazantsakis, Albert Camus, Andre Breton, George Bataille, Anais Nin, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Michael Bulgakov, Friedrich Nietzsche, the Iliad, the Aeneid, Punk, Dadaism, Do-It-Yourself, Vincent van Gogh, Lord Byron, Greece.
